Family Services of Westchester is a private, not-for-profit, non-sectarian agency located in Westchester County, New York. Since 1954 Family Services of Westchester has been dedicated to strengthening and supporting families and individuals at every stage of the life cycle with a broad range of social and mental health services. While the world has changed in many ways over the last five decades, FSW has remained true to its mission, keeping families – and the support they need - foremost. Making a difference right at home, in the Westchester community.
With headquarters in Port Chester, New York, Family Services has seven additional Family Center locations in key regions of the County: Mount Vernon; Pelham; Port Chester; Sleepy Hollow; White Plains; and Yonkers. Key program areas are Family Mental Health Services; Adoption & Children's Services; Head Start and Early Head Start; Senior Services; Home Health Care; Big Brothers-Big Sisters; AmeriCorps; Therapeutic Foster Care for Youth; and a spectrum of services for families living with HIV/AIDS.
A professional staff of more than 450 professionals and paraprofessionals includes Master’s level social workers; psychiatrists; clinical psychologists; child care workers; nurses; certified home health aides; multi-lingual clinicians; peer counselors and early childhood educators. FSW offers a broad range of innovative programs custom designed to meet particular needs of children, teens, adults, and the elderly through our eight Family Centers.
Family Services of Westchester is governed by a Board of Directors composed of volunteers from the business and local community, and has a very active, effective volunteer program. Funding comes from a healthy mix of government grants, fees, as well as philanthropic gifts contributed by individuals, foundations and corporations dedicated to maintaining the quality and scope of our services available to families.
