Considering Adoption? Don’t Miss the Adoptive Parents Committee Conference on November 24, 2019 in Brooklyn

Wherever you may be in the adoption journey, the Adoptive Parents Committee Conference, held each November to coincide with National Adoption Awareness Month is an educational and empowering experience for those considering adoption as a way to build their families.

This year’s conference, the 39th annual, will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at St. Francis College, 180 Remsen Street, in Brooklyn. Participants can attend numerous workshops, seminars, lectures and panel discussions led by professionals and experts in the adoption field, including attorneys, social workers, physicians, adoptive parents, agency representatives, adoptees and educators.

 

FSW’s own Mia Diamond Padwa, LMSW, Director of Adoption & Children’s Services, will be conducting a workshop entitled NY Domestic Adoption: Agency vs Independent from 12:15 – 1:15 p.m. with an adoption attorney.

Ticket prices range from $30 – $90, depending on APC membership status and whether participants opt to purchase a box lunch. Please note: Because some of the topics discussed at the conference may be sensitive, the APC does not allow children to attend.
