FSW’s Head Start/Early Head Start is a federal government program that was created in 1965 to give preschool children from low-income families a “head start” on their readiness for elementary school.
JOB SUMMARY:
Family Services of Westchester is looking for full-time Food Aide for our Mt. Kisco, NY Head Start program. We are hiring for multiple locations throughout Westchester County.
POSITION TITLE: Food Aide
STATUS: Full-time/Permanent
SALARY: $16.00/hour
SUPERVISED BY: Director of MCRT/Restorative Justice – Mobile Crisis – PC
PURPOSE: Assist in the preparation of food; prepare assigned food serving area and perform cashiering duties in the sale of food items to students and staff; maintain cleanliness of food service facilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serving and distributing all meals and supplies to the classrooms.
- Disinfecting and maintaining the work area clean. Wash all used utensils.
- Auditing all housewares supplies to keep good inventory on site.
- Meal count daily.
- The Temperature of Meals record
- Follow CACFP Requirements
- Helping in the classroom as needed
