Help Needed for Spring “Girl-Topia” April 28

Last November,   New Rochelle Girl Scout Caroline Stoerger and Deborah Blatt, volunteer Director and founder of FSW’s Sharing Shelf program, created the first “Girl-Topia,” a one-day clothing boutique in Port Chester with free, fashionable clothes for 75 disadvantaged teenaged girls. On April 28th, a second Sharing Shelf Girl-Topia will take place in Mount Vernon and will be sponsored by the Junior League of Central Westchester, the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in New Rochelle and Jayne Peister’s Girl Scout Troop in New Rochelle. On Sunday nights in April, the Girl Scouts are hosting sorting events from 6 to 9 pm at the Girl Scout house on North Avenue in New Rochelle. Please email thesharingshelf@fsw.orgfor more information.
