Rina Bellamy, LMSW, QDCP, FSW’s Director of My Second Home, was recently elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the New York State Adult Day Services Association. Ms. Bellamy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new position on the Board as she has been the Director of My Second Home, FSW’s Intergenerational Adult Day Program in Mt. Kisco, since 2007. Ms. Bellamy has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the Graduate School of Social Services of Fordham University and is a Qualified Dementia Care Provider. She is a New York licensed Geriatric Social Worker with a specialization in working with older adults and their families and serves as an adjunct Professor for the Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Services. She developed and implemented a research study with the Ravazzin Center for Social Work Research in Aging at Fordham University and the Helen Andrus Benedict Foundation from 2005-2006. The study “Reconnections,” measured the efficacy of using an environment rich with sensory stimulation and socialization with frail isolated older adults in Westchester County.
