FSW’s Head Start/Early Head Start is a federal government program that was created in 1965 to give preschool children from low-income families a “head start” on their readiness for elementary school.
JOB DETAILS:
Family Services of Westchester is looking for full-time Health Specialist for our White Plains, NY Head Start program. We are hiring for multiple locations throughout Westchester County.
POSITION TITLE: Health Specialist
STATUS: Full Time/ Permanent
SUPERVISED BY : Carmen Guzman
PURPOSE: To Administer and coordinate the health and welfare of children and staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Travel to our partner sites as directed by supervisor
- Ensure health and safety guidelines for children.
- Maintain detailed, Up-to-date confidential children and staff medical records/files
- Keep track of health services, tracking systems, documentation of all Medical, Dental exams and screenings
- Monitor ongoing health status of enrolled children
- Administration of medication as per the program policy and doctors’ orders
Minimum Requirements :
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree or have experience in any related field

- Performance will be evaluated based on Performance and Goals
