Babies Step Forward

The Babies Step Forward Program provides mental health services to very young children (ages birth to three) and their families in three center based childcare centers and twelve family childcare providers throughout Westchester County. BSF also services a center based program in Putnam County. The BSF staff work closely with the childcare staff and parents at identifying and helping children with challenging behaviors in order to improve the quality of their educational experience. The Babies Step Forward Program includes social emotional screenings, observation, individual and group work, parent groups, staff training, and referral to community services.

BSF is a federally funding initiative in collaboration with Westcop and the Childcare Council of Westchester, Inc
