Home Health Care Services
Family Services of Westchester offers comprehensive Home Health Care services that provide licensed, professional home health aides and personal care aides to help you care for a loved one right at home, whether that’s an older family member with chronic illness or an unexpected health challenge.
Carefully screened and licensed
All of FSW’s home health aides and personal care aides are carefully screened and licensed by the state of New York. Our aides are available for short-term or long-term care, on a daily or live-in basis and we work closely with you and your family to find the right aide who meets your unique needs.
Home Health Care provides one-on-one assistance including companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, shopping, laundry, and escorting to appointments.
We work with anyone in need of assistance and personal care, including the elderly, the chronically mentally ill, physically challenged individuals, and individuals returning from in-patient treatment.
Our aides provide physical, nutritional and emotional support
FSW’s aides are carefully trained and supervised to provide the physical, nutritional and emotional support patients and their families need. Aides can assist with health and hygiene such as changing bed linens or bathing and dressing patients, as well as preparing meals, shopping for groceries, performing light housekeeping duties and providing companionship.
When it comes to caring for older adults, FSW’s aides are also specially trained to look for symptoms of depression, Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, enabling FSW’s Home Health Care program to provide comprehensive care when needed.
Once an aide is assigned to you, FSW provides ongoing check-ins and supervision to make sure your loved one is receiving the best possible level of care. In the course of ongoing treatment, FSW can also offer your family advice and referrals to other supportive social and mental health services as needed.
