Donate Clothing to The Sharing Shelf

Donate clothing to local Westchester children in need through our clothing bank for children, The Sharing Shelf. We accept your clothing donations at drop-off locations throughout Westchester.

The Sharing Shelf volunteers sort, then pack, your donated clothing into packages of a week’s worth of clothing for a local child or teen. We need all clothing to be in clean, wearable condition ready for immediate distribution.

Hours of operation
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Many Saturdays from 10 a.m. – Noon (September to May only)

Clothing we collect
New and gently used children’s clothing. Clothing should be seasonally appropriate and free of stains, rips and tears. For teens, we need clothing that is new or formerly worn by a teen and not clothing formerly worn by an adult that “might fit a teen.”

Where to drop off donations

We are located at 47 Purdy Avenue in Port Chester (just past Townsend on the left side, look for a blue sign). Our entrance is at the far right end of the building, behind Cascade Pool. We prefer if you come during our open hours (see above).

If we are closed, you may drop-off Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., on our indoor loading dock. Enter through the glass doors in front of the building. Once inside the lobby, enter through the grey door on your right. On the loading dock, there is a box marked “The Sharing Shelf deliveries.” Please put your donations inside that box. DO NOT leave donations outside our front door.
