Recreational Volunteers for The Lanza Family Center for All Ages in White Plains

FSW’s Lanza Family Center for All Ages, located in White Plains, offers a comprehensive intergenerational social adult day program for older adults. We are seeking individuals to assist in a variety of recreational activity programs with senior participants, some of whom suffer from  Alzheimer’s or some form of cognitive loss. We are seeking compassionate and caring individuals with various talents such as artists,  piano or guitar players, as well as friendly visitors to do a variety of tasks from facilitating games and preparing group activities to spending time one on one with individuals to provide companionship and conversation.  We also have a need for a volunteer with a certified therapy dog. Must be comfortable working with senior and youth populations. Must be comfortable taking and giving instructions in various settings.

An interview, application packet with background check is required.
