Youth Council Program Coordinator

FSW is looking for a professional with experience in Youth Leadership and Youth Development. Strong interest/experience working in social justice (social issues).
RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee county-wide youth leadership program Work collaboratively with community and school-based organizations, public officials and local task forces to enhance the programmatic goals Lead recruitment of middle school and high school aged youth Facilitate weekly meetings with Youth Council membership, as well as organize and facilitate various outings, public service projects, etc. Manage the Westchester County Youth Council budget, meeting all fiscal requirements in accordance with Family Services of Westchester & each funding source Work collaboratively with agency development department to ensure additional funding/sponsorship opportunities Write monthly, quarterly and annual reports for programs funding sources; tracking and achieving all outcomes Chair quarterly Westchester County Youth Council Advisory Board meetings Attend various network meetings with key stakeholders in the community Provide supervision and support to the Youth Councils Program Specialist. Other duties as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in program planning and implementation, community organizing & positive youth development work Experience in supervising middle school & high school after school programs Experience working in community and school-based settings Experience with elected officials, youth advocacy & policy driven initiatives to enhance the civic engagement of young people Good oral and written communication skills Valid and agency approved drivers license Bachelors degree required; Masters highly preferred.
