Mobile Crisis Response Team

Thanks to a partnership with Ossining, Port Chester, and Mount Kisco Police Departments and Westchester County Government, FSW’s Mobile Crisis Response Teams (MCRT) are part of the team to respond to emergency 911 calls. Co-located onsite at the police departments, FSW’s teams help stabilize those in a mental health crisis and connect them with follow up services as needed. Ultimately, the initiative can reduce unnecessary arrests and emergency room visits.

FSW responds, builds rapport with the individual in crisis, provides on-the-spot counseling and de-escalation, or, if needed, takes steps to have the individual transported to the ER or an appropriate psychiatric facility. FSW will also connect them to appropriate services and supports, for example substance abuse treatment, local shelters, counseling or more.

FSW’s Mobile Crisis Response Teams (MCRT) serve the following towns in Westchester:

• Ossining Police Department covers: Mount Pleasant, Pleasantville, Sleepy Hollow, Briarcliff Manor

• Port Chester Police Department covers: Harrison, Larchmont, Rye, Rye Brook, Village of Mamaroneck, Town of Mamaroneck, and SUNY Purchase

• Mount Kisco Police Department covers: Mount Kisco, Bedford Hills, New Castle, North Castle, Somers, Pound Ridge, North Salem, and Lewisboro

If you need immediate emergency assistance, please call 911.
