RideConnect provides free volunteer transportation, as well as a free eleven-seat bus service to help those 60+ with their transportation needs. The Field Hall Foundation awarded FSW a $5,000 grant to help alleviate emergencies when volunteers weren’t available, and a shared ride service or taxi is needed.
Throughout a week in December 2023, over 100 donors stopped by the Center for All Ages in White Plains to drop off an impressive number of gifts for 270 families, as part of Family Services of Westchester’s Adopt a Family program. Gap stores gave the gift of warmth to our Port Chester Head Start children! Paul Lira with Gap stopped by the Head Start Center to personally deliver the bags filled with jackets, sweaters, hats, mittens, socks, and booties to Sheilly Aguilar, Family Advocate at the Head Start Center. ACME Markets/Albertsons Foundation Nourishing Neighbors donated $5,000 to support breakfast food for our Early Childhood Education Program (Head Start). Acme also provided $10,000 in ACME supermarket gift cards to be provided to Head Start families.
