Hundreds of Local Families Receive Thanksgiving Meals Thanks to Pelham Community

For some, the prospect of Thanksgiving brings joy, celebration and a renewed sense of gratitude.  For others, particularly those who are living with difficult economic circumstances and don’t have the financial means for a Thanksgiving meal, it is a time of profound worry.  Through community support, hundreds of our families throughout Westchester received everything they needed for a traditional Thanksgiving meal. The initiative helped alleviate their worry and bring joyfulness to a family in need.

As always, we are especially grateful to program founder Tina Constable and Pelham’s interfaith community for spearheading the drive.  Partners included: Huguenot Memorial Church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, the Pelham Jewish Center, St. Catharine’s Parish, Christ Church, Pelham Community Church and the Bronxville Reformed Church.

We are also grateful to Swiss Re for joining us in the effort to address food insecurity. Swiss Re mobilized their employees to donate to the campaign to help those in need.

We are so grateful to those who stand with us in our mission to strengthen and support families.  We are so thankful for you and your dedication to the families of Westchester County.
